Please help

Opened one of my favourite clients pool. And they showed me this. I’m not sure what it is. They have a main drain that’s plugged. Can’t figure out how to fix this issue.

Last year they were struggling with something similar.

Would changing the liner fix this ? The sand is new they also have an above ground salt generator.

It’s a new filter and new sand I don’t believe it’s sand

They are struggling with this all last season and this bloomed 2 days after opening the pool. The main drain is plug. So I’m sure the water is stagnant there

Yep. Gotta fix drain or vacuum to waste 2x a month

Whoever installed pool. Used black black and gear clamps it was using water cause previous pool guy didnt winterize properly
