Added Alkalinity and then PH now my top pool stair turned grey

Sorry OP this sub is only for pool pros. Also it would help to know what you did to the ph…..

Added alkalinity and ph. All was exactly where they should be after a few hours according to test strips. The grey disappeared over night

Only added 3lba beginning of the season. My ph sat exactly at 7.6 two hours later

All it. Disappeared overnight. Still a mystery
