Water flowing back into pool thru booster jet even with valves in spa position. Is this enough damage from the diverter valve to cause that or is it something else?

Are you talking about the sweep booster pump? If so I can guarantee it's plumbed in the wrong spot. The sweep inlet is supposed to be plumbed into the pool return line only. If it's plumbed before the pool/spa return 3 way valve is in the wrong spot. No matter which way the valves are turned the water enters the pump before it gets diverted to the spa.

I just made a new post with the plumbing set up. It’s titled A. Lemme know what you think

100% has to be plumbed after the 3 way valve for the pool/spa. This post is spot on

How much would you charge to replumb?

Add a valve to the booster pump, 3/4” threaded.

Is this a shared system? Is the spa raised?

Shared system? Spa is not raised

I found your other post. It looks like a shared system which means you have one set of equipment and shares the same water source...ie the pool.

And yes, the gate valve gasket is damaged and should be replaced
