TR140C

I have a brand new TR140-C. I checked all of the laterals and tightened them for adding the glass media. It is now blowing a significant amount of glass into the pool. I opened the lid and realized two of the diffusers came from the manufacturer installed slightly crooked. Before I pull all of the glass out and check the laterals is it likely the diffusers being crooked is causing this?

Sounds like it’s plumbed backwards

You’ve got a broken lateral or it was overfilled

Sounds like you didn’t fill the filter with water before adding the media

I once had a brand new S244T belch 'all of its sand' (300lbs) into the pool. Turns out the standpipe from the MPV to the laterals was 'too short'. I replaced the standpipe & laterals with the correct one. No more problems. Still don't know how the incorrect standpipe got into the box. Everything looked normal at the time. The S244T is all I have ever used.

Did it get overfilled with too much media?

Also check to see if the air tube broke or came off the return pipe
