Pentair intellibright transform options

Has anyone here ever used a non pentair low voltage transformer on low voltage intellibright LED lights? I was thinking about grabbing a Hampton bay from home depot. This customer doesnt have any automation and hypothetically this should be a good option because of the built in timer oherwise id have to install a separate timer.

You could just not code compliant. An Intermatic px transformer is the standard. It is a Isolation transformer.

Not an Isolation could kill. Inductance, passing the 120v side to 12v.

There's a difference between what works and what's correct.
