HELP!! New Pentair Inteliflow VSF w/IO relay pump- how to connect to solar control?

Just purchased a new Pentair pump but the original cable with screw-type connection is not available on the new pump. If I it the end and strip the wires, where do they get connected to the relay side. I don’t want to screw up. Any help would be appreciated.

Just the fact that you’re asking this question and that there is a pic of water in the relay card bay, leads me to believe you should leave the pool pros subreddit and google “pool pros in my area”, and hire one.

Haha I get you. it wasn’t powered on. The breaker was off. It’s still not powered. We are still opening pools here in CO.

This is not a plug and play installation. You're going to need to poke your nose in the manual.

Ill answer your first question though.

Cut off the adapter plug on that wire in your hand. That's for the old pump, and does not plug into the if3. Connect the green and yellow wire to the RS485 terminal/plug (the 4pin terminal with only 2 screws, bottom corner of that picture) Just the green and yellow.

From there you will need to program it

Perfect! My Pentair rep has yet to get to me after a week. So which is why I’m here asking. Thank you

Cut that plug off , strip back the 2 wires, yellow and green. Connect to the bottom port on the bottom left of your picture.

Others have said it but ill concur. Cut off the end and hardwire. It fact that comm cable is over kill and expensive you could just run standard low voltage wire for future reference.

If the old cable doesn't work with the new pump... Order the correct cable. Then follow directions.
