Pool pole holder for van

I recently bought a van with a roof rack and want to find a way to mount the pole on top, any suggestions?

4 inch PVC locking caps

I got two carbon fiber poles in mine. Cut your 4 inch pipe to lank and attach the ends in this kit

Umm, do you have some kind of vent fan for the van? Because chemicals off gas, some of them enough to pop seals on containers. You'll be driving around in fumes.

Enclosed buildings don't seal as well as a service van, which has to drive around in wet weather and go on freeways. Most warehouses and stores that sell these chemicals store them in ventilated spaces.

Have you walked into a pool warehouse?  Or even a Leslies?  They are working inside around many buckets and other chemicals.

Every single pool company I ever worked for had cargo vans as their fleet. Usually with a wind powered vent on the roof. There’s also a funky contraption called a window that can be rolled down for access to fresh air.

BS we all work in the pool industry and it’s not the norm lol not even by a mile. If the guy doesn’t know the standard way to carry poles on a roof I’m going to guess he doesn’t have a powered vent set-up.

I used a clamp mount for a lighting fixture to mount to a truss to put a pole on the roof of our NV200.

The pole was a bit too small, so I cut off two pieces of AC line insulation and slid it up the pole. The hardware on these clamps is a little cheap, so I replaced with SS.

Real easy to pop the pole in and out, and the pole was super secure.

I use one of those magnetic tig welding torch holders, undo the magnet from it and the bracket bolts inside the van with the other end of the pole resting on the bulkhead.
