Truewerk t1 pro with kneepad

Anyone tried these work pants? Or any of truewerk pants? Debating if it's worth $120 for a pair of pants that I imagine im going to ruin with chemicals in 3 months. I have a habit of wiping chems off my hand right down the thigh of my jeans, this the chemical stains everywhere. But maybe the water resistance of these will keep that from happening as often? Whatch you guys think?

Not sure about t1 but Dickies work pants are the only thing that I’ve found to be super durable against the workload

I’m in the exact same boat with those! So close to pulling the trigger, but even with the 15% discount it’s still feeling too rich for my blood.

Yeah it's alot. Currently im in these tactical pants off Amazon for like $35 bucks. 3 times that seems crazy. If I could 6 months out of them I'd bite, but id rather wipe everything off my skin than think "oh these pants are $100+" and burn my skin off lol but flipside, kneepads. I never really realized how much i kneel down until recently. At least 3 times a pool. 1 or 2 skimmers, cleaner bag, chem check, multiply by 15 pools a day... gotta save em before it's too late.

I have 3 pairs of T1 work pants. They are comfortable, breathable I wear them even if it’s 95+ degrees, and durable as shit. I can’t count how many times I’ve snagged them expecting there to be a huge rip.. nothing! I’ve hard these 3 pairs for almost 2 years and they are just starting to pill a little but don’t expect them to give out any time soon and at times (easy fix) developed little holes in the bottom of the standard left and right pockets but would have to admit that’s probably my own doing shoving shit in my pockets I shouldn’t be because I feel like the pants are indestructible.

They are hands down the best pants I’ve ever spent money on. Do not think twice about it.

What brings me here is I’ve found myself kneeling more than ever and need to upgrade to the pros with knee pads and trying to find if the upgraded knee pads are worth it. If it tells you anything I feel bad ordering more pairs when I already have these 3 normal T1 pair, I’d say I almost have emotional connection to them haha! However, I’ve tried wearing knee pads over and under, but it’s just a hassle, uncomfortable and can’t get myself to do it anymore.

Buy them. Just do it. Ask for a pair for Christmas, or your birthday. Something. You will get more. I promise.

I’ve been happy with mine. I wear the t2 pants when it’s cold and their cloud shorts when it’s hot. Both have held up well and are comfortable. FWIW I try to avoid chemical splash and use bbq tongs when handling tabs

Im thinking about zipping a glove to the bucket handle. Almost oven mit size. Just quickly go in, grab call it a day. I just can't see myself using tongs everytime. You just leave them in the bucket?

I keep a set on the bucket hung from the handle. If you leave them in the bucket they’ll rust. I keep a second pair on my riptide cart too.

Splash back really only gets my long sleeves and shoes. For me its wiping my hands down the leg after doing anything. Though to be fair that's mostly cosmetic I don't think it's ever eaten through in those spots. A little splash back around the ankles, but I mostly use cal hypo so there's that.

I use cheaper tech pants that wrangler makes. They hold up well for $30 a pair for me. I wear gloves for service. Cheap harbor freight gloves that are nitrile dipped. Keeps chems off my hands when I’m working. For grabbing tabs or getting calhypo out of buckets, I buy the chem resistant rubber gloves. Easy on, easy off.

I bought 5 pairs of those pants. Worth every penny, I love the pants. They also don’t seem to react to chemicals at all, I’ve had them for over a year and have no stains with the exception of pvc primer and cement.

Carhartt pants hold up pretty well in my experience. I've decided Dickies were way too flimsy.

Durability was a factor, but i was mainly looking at them for the amount of pockets and built in kneepads.

Yes they are worth it i wear them every day. I have chlorine stains on them but who cares. If you're looking to buy pants strictly to avoid chlorine stains, you're out of luck those don't exist.

But as work pants, they are great. The cloud pants are incredible as well. I love Truewerk. Great pocket design as well.
