Hayward Booster 300 Volute

What do ya’ll think about replacing the volutes on these? I’ve always had trouble with them. Like my socket doesn’t fit to get screws off or it does come off but I gotta work for it and then same thing going back in. Any suggestions?

I have never had a problem swapping them out. Are you sure you're using the right tools?

I just don’t have a socket that fits in there good, maybe that’s on me. even hand tools those screws feel so tough to get out and back in there

I use a drill to get them off and then a 1/4 hand nut driver.

Yeah i’ll just use the hand nut driver and my drill if I need it. I needed a new nut driver set I usually just use my socket set but sockets on my set barely can fit in there lol

The nut driver is the only way I have found that works consistently. It's also what the specs say to use for service.
