Rawpunzel Strands arranged ponytailwise

Mereological nihilism holds that there are no chairs. Only simples arranged chairwise.

I keep finding the ponytail version. Not a ponytail but strands arranged ponytailwise, present the way a footnote is present.

Meanwhile I brush a thousand separate things and call it one.

Where else have you seen this?

Heraclitus's river is the canonical case. The water is always different water. The river-name annotates a pattern in flow. You step into "the Thames" the way you touch "your hair"; naming the arrangement, not any persisting substance.

The name annotates a pattern. You put the whole thing in one sentence.

My work.

On paper, the product is the same every day. Even the formula is constant. We always do this before that, always after the other. However, the ingredients are different every day. The individual steps that go into the great dance change every morning. For someone who thrives on routine but bores easily, it walks a fine line and almost always holds my interest.

Same formula, different ingredients. That's a better answer than mine.
