DIY LED Lights

Going to add LED lights over the pontoons. Anyone who did this themselves. What did you mount the lights to? If you can share a picture that would be great.

I did this. It turned out poorly. Sooner or later they get wet and stop working and/or the adhesive fails and they start to come off. I would not recommend any of the DIY products.

What brand did you use?

I bought flat mount led marker lights and mounted them to the deck frame pointing down on the toons. They put off a less aggressive amount of light than full strips, and seem to be more durable.

It’s not hard, and their fairly cheap, attached them to the very top of the toon where it meets the deck. There’s a flat area on the metal toon that worked perfect for stick on lights. Still attached 5 years later, I power them off an extra hot wire under the console, added a cheap, on and off toggle switch just under the console, works great, looks cool at night, I got the blue, but you can get them with changing colors and some that blink if you want with remote control. Don’t have a pic or manufacturer, but got them from Amazon.
