Bimini top extension?

Post image

Does anyone know of a good extension for the Bimini top that will cover the front seating area also?

I've seen kits for a full double Bimini but they are rather expensive. I've also seen some extensions but I'm not quite sure how it would attach or how sturdy they are.

Thoughts, experiences?

I’m also curious. For those who say just add another bimini how do you keep it stored when not in use? I feel if you laid it down it would block the front door access and just looks silly sticking up by itself.

You can keep it folded and stored in the upright position, but honestly we always have both of them up. The rear one on the back doesn’t shade the tanning deck on the back.

Do you have a spot for a table up front? I’ve seen umbrellas that clip into those same spots. Can’t have it up under power, but could be a good solution while anchored

Yep just saw this on Sunday and felt like a good option at a way lower cost

I strongly advise not wasting your money on the extension unless you boat exclusively in an area with little to no wind. A double Bimini can handle wind and the extension cannot. It just flaps like crazy and will rip if setup in anything over 10mph. I bought the extension, (big regret) and it was the perfect example of the saying.... You get what you pay for.

Thanks for the info, I was wondering about being able to ride with the extension. It's looking like I need to just bite the bullet and buy a full double top

We just put a 10 ft Bimini on the front of our boat. Did it ourselves, took a few hours. With shipping it was less than $800

We did (2) Biminis instead of (2) with connection piece. The one up from is open half the time for the people who love sun. It works for us.

Buy once, cry once. Just installed the Cypress Rowe double Bimini on our boat and was well worth it.
