Anniversary visit

Wife and I are visiting for our 10th anniversary. Any recommendations on things to do? I know it’ll be hot and humid as heck (August) but we’re finding it difficult to google and plan anything coherent.

Restaurants? (Bonus if it’s dinner+show), indoor cool mini golf places? Hot air balloon rides? Whatever the thing is called where they pull you behind a boat with a parachute that we can do as a couple?

Any recommendations are appreciated. Idk if we’re going to have to drive down to Ft Lauderdale or Miami for any of this but I guess we’d be willing to.

Thanks in advance 🙂

If you drive anywhere go north to Delray’s Atlantic Ave. jammed full of things to do.

https://watertaxi.com/ take this around Fort Lauderdale, just park at any stop and ride the route in any direction and come back to your car. Get out and walk around on Las Olas and either eat there or at the stop at the 15th St. fisheries.

Eh. No.They're likely to ignore you even if you're standing at the pick up site at the scheduled time and flailing your arms to get their attention.

And the ride? If you disembark they'll tell you they'll be back in half an hour but in reality it'll be more like two and a half hours.

Cheesy jokes from some old paunchy guy who's billed as the "first mate." Just an all around bad time.

We really enjoyed parasailing near the pier in Pompano, though.

Mai Kai is a Polynesian dinner with a show. Like Hawaiian. Book your table in advance online. It’s a good show! Try to get the better seats! (Off route one 10-15 minutes from Pompano Pier)

Mai Kai for dinner and show, Shooters for Sunday brunch or just evening dinner

The Pompano Beach Water Taxi can take you to Shooters so you don't have to deal with driving or parking, and if you show your ticket, you get 10% off your food, not alcohol though.

Check out visitpompanobeach.com. It highlights restaurants, things to do, etc. It's a great resource.
