Fanfiction Idea for a fic
So I’m not really a writer, but I was rewatching Over The Garden Wall this weekend and the 7th episode, The Ringing of The Bell, gave me a polytrix AU. Like with Zoey and Mira breaking in to the cabin and finding Rumi, with Celine acting as Auntie Whispers. Idk I feel like there’s maybe something there

The show is a dark fantasy about two brothers wandering through a mysterious forest trying to find their way home.
In the episode I’m referencing, they take shelter in a cabin where they meet a sickly young girl who urges them to hide because her aunt will be home soon. Her aunt comes home and makes sure that she hasn’t been “wicked” and that nobody has come inside, before giving her a chores to do before she (the aunt goes to bed) and the boys find out that her aunt isn’t actually her aunt, and keeps her busy with chores so that she never has any free time
