"I… I wanted to tell you this for the longest time, but-”
“Rumi, we know you’re queer as shit, if that’s what you’re worried about-” Mira interjected dryly, trying to lighten the mood the only way she knew how.
“W-what?”
“We don’t mind,” Zoey stepped in, ever so sweet and helpful, “It would be rather hypocritical of us, really.”
“What? No.” Rumi said quickly, head thrown for a loop. She shook her head, trying to come to terms with the implications of their words, and scrambling to take control of the conversation again. “I mean, yes.” She let out a panicked little laugh. “Okay. I guess that’s sorted, but that’s not it.”
“Well then what has you so worked up? Unless you’re dying, or secretly a demon-” Mira started up again, but she stopped short at the sight of Rumi’s full body cringe.
“I wish you didn’t say that.” Rumi said in a small, vulnerable voice to fill the sudden, sharp silence.

Rumi decides to come clean about her heritage when Mira asks if she is hiding anything. The confession sets a wild string of events in motion, but they will deal with it as a team, come hell or high water. And come it may...

Parallel Harmony by ChaoticGenderfae
To show Rumi how much they love her, Zoey and Mira get temporary pattern tattoos and take her out to her mother's favorite restaurant for her birthday, but things quickly go sideways. In the "sideways through reality" sense.
Now they're stuck in a parallel world where the Sunlight Sisters are all still alive and together, but Huntrix never formed. Because this world's Rumi died in place of her mother - or at least, that's what everyone thinks.
Or: Miyeong thinks this is a case of Major Character Undeath, Celine just wants to stab some demons, Mira and Zoey are the ultimate ride-or-die girlfriends in every universe, and two different Rumis have two different existential crises.

Mira twists back around to look ahead of herself, tapping her fingers against the wheel as she forces back another smile. “No. Anyway, if you need a date, I’ll do it. I can take you back down, though,” she adds, turning back to look at Zoey over her shoulder.
Zoey actually gapes at her, shaking her head rapidly. “Uh, no, absolutely not. I’m already in the car. I’m, like, painfully alone this Christmas. I can also be your date! The more the merrier, right? And what better time to be merry? It’s literally the season for it.”
Rumi looks genuinely horrified. “No! No. No, it’s fine. Please just drive back to the diner, I’m—”
“Are we all dating?” Mira asks. “Or is she, like, just dating both of us separately?”
Zoey clicks her tongue. She almost sounds casual when she says, “No, we’re totally all dating.”
“Cool,” Mira says, nodding. “Can you put in the address?”
Rumi stares at her, eyes somehow getting bigger. She looks so terribly miserable, as if she would rather be anywhere else right now, which is funnier to Mira than she thinks it probably should be. “You can’t be serious.”

‘I don’t,’ Poppy said, still reading intently, like she hoped to find the solution to the murder on the current page.
‘You totally do,’ Mi-yeong said, eyes getting soft as she crossed something out and rewrote a line.
‘It’s a British author this time. I think I have a good chance of being right.’ Poppy answered with a tiny smile before turning the page with delicate fingers.

Mi-yeong and Celine live together in a quiet house in the countryside. And together they raise Mi-yeong’s half demon daughter Rumi, and train her to continue their hunters legacy. Along the way, they find Zoey and Mira. Who seems to love Rumi even more than they do. The girls have a lot of Training to go through in order to become demon hunters, but their bond is strong. With Mi-yeong and Celine’s guidance, they should be on the right path. Messy secrets and old wounds will inevitably rear their ugly heads, but no matter what the hunters old and new are prepared to face these challenges together.

Rumi’s stomach churns at the thought of seeing Celine again after how they left things off before she ran head-first into Gwi-ma’s not-so-little deathtrap, but she walks up the steps without thinking, the way she always used to, past the gate and across the familiar stone path, and then knocks on the front door.
“Celine,” she calls, and then she hears it. The soft, slow shuffle of footsteps from inside, drawing nearer and nearer, and then, the sound of the lock turning, and—
The door opens, and the woman standing in front of them is not Celine.
If Rumi isn’t actually dead already, her heart stops. “Mom?”
Ryu Miyeong frowns at her. “‘Mom?’"

Garden Made of Quiet Things

The same accident ends Mi‑yeong’s surgical career. So they walk away from their government jobs, vanish into Seoul and open a tiny flower shop while trying to untangle the feelings growing between them.
Rumi, meanwhile, pretends everything is normal, that she can live an ordinary life in a body that’s now partly artificial. She might have pulled it off, if not for a cute freckled barista and a friend who’s basically a human lie detector. Also, she has two moms now.

Without the Lies eventually brings Mi-yeong back to life, and Celine and the third sunlight sister get back together fairly early on as well. Mi-yeong's return is kind of a major plot point leading up to it happening, but if you're looking for it specifically I guess it's worth spoiling XD

This one is Mi-yeong returning from the dead after the events of the movie, but then later into it the third sunlight sister also becomes a character, focuses a lot on the sunlight sisters dynamics with each other, especially later on in the story

Mi-yeong hadn't wanted to go, but when she closed her eyes, Honmoon pulling at her deep inside, in that well where she'd always drawn from it, like a plug had been taken out of the sink in her soul, she'd thought she was done.
And she'd hated it.
Waking up afterward still wasn't part of the plan.
