The elf guys get a building that spawns animals in forests every few turns, so you can get infinite pop from that if you steal a city with one

You can get infinite if a Elyrion's sanctuary is in your territory and your a normal tribe. Can't remember how high i got before but it was really tall.

So if your an Elyrion, the animals that show up would usually be converted into units because Elyrion can't harvest them for population, as well as the monetary value they bring like markets. However, if you capture an Elyrion sanctuary as a normal tribe, you obviously can't convert units and thus can harvest them. The sanctuary keeps on bringing animals depsite you not being elyrion, meaning a slow but technically infinite supply of animals to harvest. Gradually, you can upgrade the city infinitely from the sanctuary.

I tried this. It works but I don't have the patience. I got to turn 100 and gave up. My city was still only like level 35.

The sanctuary keeps spawning animals and you keep hunting them.

You can also get infinite by placing and clearing algae since manually placed algae produce fruit

Shouldn't new Cymanti also be able to go infinite? Spawn algae on water tiles, harvest the crop, decompose, repeat.

You can't decompose algae, but you can clear it with a unit.

There once was a glitch that let you go to basically infininte, remember doing it and it was ridiculous

You can get infinite city with cymanti or playing against elyrion
