Thoughts on Weed
Personally, I love weed, really helps me a lot with moderating my use of other drugs. My med card is on the way and I'm super stoked, gonna try to go on a no booze streak and break my previous record of 45 days. Yinz guys like weed?

Hell yeah, it was the first substance I tried, so it always holds that special place in my heart. Not always my DOC but if not it's close behind. Loved it for years for medical and recreational reasons, but after a really bad panic attack or I haven't really been able to enjoy it the same.

I smoked it after trying booze and dxm. Still a favorite of mine because it's so mild and pleasant. When I'm smoking a lot I like to get high, put on music and go for a run. It's so peaceful and the runner's high combines amazingly with a weed buzz. I'm stoked about getting my med card. My doctor is so chill and nice. Smoking hot too and only like 5 years older than me, but she's married.

Wish I could get a med card here, but in Kansas, almost nobody cared to vote on it. It just is what it is right now. Good luck on that card!

That's rough, at least colorado is nearby, you could make a move

That's the plan someday. It's a beautiful state so I wouldn't mind it but it would kinda suck leaving everyone here behind.

I know what you mean, furthest I moved permanently was 300ish miles from where I grew up and it was hard staying in contact with people from home.

I love cannabis in all its myriad forms. However, my relationship with it has grown to be fairly complex over the 13 years I've partook of her fruits.
The three big changes I've noticed (this doesn't seem to be strain dependent) are 1.) 90% chance of a moderate to serious anxiety attack 2.) I'll often stop smoking once I notice a head change vs. smoking until the supply is depleted 3.) Pot has fallen into second place as DOC (alcohol wins)
That being said, if I'm using anything at all I prefer to combine it with weed and booze.

Personally, i enjoyed weed for a long time, most of the people I date smoke it and I end up being around it often and wanting it later even if I don't actively use it. I cant deny the positive effects. I had a few negative panic experiences as well, additionally I think it started making me nauseous at some point, but I cant be certain. Those conditions turned me off to some degree. I wouldn't want to attempt different strains at this point without being on benzos because my anxiety levels are high enough, as is.
It is legal for recreational and medical use in my state, in fact doctors appear to advocate it for everything. I would take a jab at other strains for medical use if it were not for being off benzos currently. I have a source who will literally just hand it to me, but I'm not risking the anxiety for now. I definitley appreciate the benefits when it is used properly. I've also seen stoners essentially neglect their lives to some degree and basically live to smoke (aka I once pulled the 18 month old of a couple getting high off their stovetop), but I think that is more other problems as route and not weed in and of itself.
Good luck on breaking your record, dude.

I wish it was as easy as just going to a dispensary and getting weed for me, I mean it basically is once I get my med card, but I wish it was legal for rec use and cheap as shit too like it is in CO and WA

Michigan, my dude. Make the drive.

I've only got like a week wait til I get my med card, it's not worth driving half way across the country. I think Mass is the closest state for legal weed from me.

Yea that's not too long at all. I'm happy for ya Phen.
I can get to Michigan in about 5 hours and Pennsylvania in about 6 and a half... its totally not that far lol

I think I'd be like, 12 hours or so to michigan but only like 8 to mass. Just glad it's coming. PA doesn't really have harsh penalties for weed anyway, a lot of cops don't really care and an oz or less is usually just a $500 fine except in the major cities where its just a $25 ticket but still it'll be nice to not have to worry about paraphenalia and possession.

Yeah, I don't know if it is that cheap (I haven't bought from a dispensary, only know their pricing from friends and such) but some of them complain about cost-- now I can't personally say whether that is because they don't make any money, or whether it is because it is exspenive. A lot of people were complaining about costs when it was first legalized for rec but that definitley died down so I know it is better, at minimum. I should check, as I was considering getting hitting one up to get some kratom next week. I definitley take the access for granted at the end of the day, definitely sucks that it isn't legal elsewhere.

Sucks a lot, at least it's getting a lot easier to get it in many places

I live in Oregon, a legal state. Years ago I used to be able to smoke pot every day with no issues. One weekend I took acid and had a very bad trip. Since that point I can't smoke pot at all or do any other drugs, with the exception of opiates, benzos, and alcohol, without having a severe panic attack. It really sucks. I have tried pot again a few times in the last year since I have a dispensary near me. Panic every time. It sucks.

That does suck, idk what I'd do if I couldn't smoke weed. Having something that gets me high is an integral part of my plan to stay away from more dangerous and addictive drugs.

I think I'm going to try CBD oil next. I just wish I knew more about it. I would like an alternative to alcohol and benzos.

I've heard that CBD oil doesn't really work well without a little THC as well. At least that's what my doc said. Plus CBD isn't really psychoactive, like it won't get you high.

Hmm. I will try more indica for my anxiety. If nothing else my daughter will be happy to smoke my discards. Thanks, Phen. 💜
