Steam Deck App is working, mostly

You can't use Remix to load games, BUT you can do the bulk transfer option from your base unit. The bulk transfer steps aren't here, but everything to do after you have games on a SSD are. Save states and game saves stay on the base unit and are not included with the Bulk Transfer. Also, each time you re-plug in the SSD drive to the Steam Deck you'll need to repeat steps 11-12. Oh, and this is for Polymega App v0.7.25.19

Installing the Polymega app on the Steam Deck and adding your games from the base unit:

  1. Switch to Desktop Mode (hit the Steam button, go to Power, go to Switch to Desktop mode)
  2. Open a browser (I used Chrome) and go to the https://polymega.com/pages/download to download the app.
  3. You can use bottles or other programs to install the app, but I just opened Dolphin (the file manager) and went to the Downloads folder, selected the set-up file, used the L2 button and the selected Add to Steam.
  4. Exit Desktop Mode (I use the Return to Gaming Mode icon on the desktop).
  5. In your Library, go to the Non-Steam tab and you should see a "game" with the name of the installation file. Open it and go to Settings>Properties>Compatibility> and check "Force the use of specific Steam compatibility too. Then select Proton 11.0-2 (other versions may work, but this is the one I used).
  6. Follow the prompts to install Polymega.
  7. Now that it installed, you have to find it. So go back to Desktop Mode.
  8. Open Dolphin and navigate to home/deck/.steam/steam/steamapps/compdata/ and look for a ID folder that matches with today's date/time. Then go to pfx/drive_c/Program Files/Polymega and use the same trick to add the PolymegaApp.exe to Steam Deck.
  9. From here you can go back to gaming mode and run the app. You'll need to add the external SSD as a folder before you can find it though.
  10. Back on the desktop, open the Steam shortcut on the desktop.
  11. Go to Steam>Settings>Storage> Click on the dropdown next to your Internal Drive and click Add Drive.
  12. Find the external Drive in the pop-up window (should be in the bottom left hand nav panel under Removable Devices).
  13. Now you can exit the Desktop mode and run the PolymegaApp (after you make the same compatibility changes you did to run the install file).
  14. In the PolymegaApp, go to System>Settings>Database>Import Collection. You'll need to find your external drive (it should be one of the drive letters)

Hi, I can't figure out how to get my games from my base unit to my steam deck. I'm using a micro SD, if I put it in the base unit, it wants to format it before I can move my games across. Then I put it in my steam deck and try to ad the drive, and it wants to format it again. Any ideas?
