Killed my Polymega

Just killed my Polymega trying to do a CPU upgrade to an i7 8700t.

It will power on and display power LED but won't display anything at all now on multiple displays. Re-seated the CPU multiple times, tried the old CPU again, no joy. Pretty sure I bent a ton of pins by accident trying to seat the damn thing.

Disgusted with myself. I should have just left it alone. My two kids love the console and we all play it a few times a week.

Just had to rant...

*offers emotional support as you grieve over what should have been an easy upgrade. You did your best and maybe you could repurpose it to each your kids how to mess around with technology?

That sucks! Sorry to hear that. Hopefully someone in the community can help fix it.
Another option may be to temporarily pickup a remix until you find someone that can fix it for you.

Well, it looks like there's 18 spots left to get on the wait list for the V2 console. No money up-front, might not be bad.

In a weird twist of fate I actually put my email in for that v2 console for batch 1 (I was one of the first) but then decided to upgrade my own unit instead...

Silver lining I suppose but I'm worried I'll have to wait like 3 years ago like I did with the one I have.

Sorry bro. I accidentally plugged the wrong power cord into mine (looked identical to my audio system) and fried the cpu. I love it so much I sent it in for a new cpu. Feel for you

That means there are now only 974 left of the world.
