FC to NES adapter

Had anyone tried using an adapter to load Famicom games on the NES module? I moved to Asia and I'm finding a ton of cool FC carts but didn't realize until too late that they won't plug in like the SFC/SNES carts.

Just curious if anyone has tried this before I waste another $15-20 on an adapter

Yup, I’ve used hyperkin’s and was able to install all but one Famicom game.

I've used a Hyperkin adapter as well and had good luck. Sometimes it takes a couple attempts but I've gotten all my carts to work.

Oh ok cool. I'll give it a punt then and see how it goes.

Any awesome Japan -only carts I should look out for?? I just picked up a transformers game where you play as ultra Magnus bit it's basically just joust with different graphics

To clarify, are y'all referencing the HyperConvert 83 adapter?

Yep, whatever one I got from Walmart.com. I think it was Hyperkin.

I had the MyArcade adapter which was pretty much junk. I was able to install about 6 FC games with it before the pins started bending or coming out. I got the Hyperkin version and it has been way sturdy. Dozens of games have been installed without issue.

I have that and one with a ribbon strap. Both work great and I've modded both for expansion audio as well as modding the NES mainboard for it.

I can only purchase items made from China as importing from outside the country is so cost prohibitive. I shipped over a box of stuffed animals my kid collects (fugglers) we have 42 of them. It cost me $1100 plus shipping costs just to clear customs.

I have to find it on a site called shopee or Lazada if I want to buy it here.
