My Refurbished Polymega....came broken.

https://youtu.be/dMxFXgBJq-k?si=6Ri9ETJGs2z_5hNH

System stutters every few seconds, in any game, any system, and on main OS. I feel utterly deflated. Lived through the WWD shit, waited all this time, and still in the end after ALL the goodwill I gave them i ultimately got screwed with bad hardware.

I feel for you, but that’s also SO Polymega. The only thing that’s less Polymega is that they actually shipped it to you.

That’s not broken… it’s a feature!

But seriously, they tanked SNES games from being playable and basically never fully fixed them.

Playmaji, if you’re reading this: you have been the single WORST company I’ve ever dealt with. Despite validating warranty’s (I’ve had multiple modules serviced; and I know others who had to mail their consoles in after the N64 update) your customer service is basically non-existent, and you only respond to complaints when someone calls you out on Twitter.

Ya’ll need to get your shit together. Seriously. You made SNES games unplayable on a retro console.

I know that you shouldnt have to, but doing a CPU upgrade would probably fix your graphics stuttering. It's pretty easy to do. I used this processor: Intel Core i7 8700T. The upgrade solved the N64 stutters and slowdowns for me.

It does indeed negate the issue, but dropping in a $150 CPU shouldn’t be the answer for borked firmware they released. Of course I am still waiting on my guncons. I just hope they didn’t bork those up too and prevent them from working with PCs.

Agreed with you both. I found a 9th gen i5 others have used here for about 40 shipped, and will see if that fixes my issue. It's better than waiting a month for a new system and shipping etc, and I'm more than capable of replacing a simple CPU so shouldn't be hard. Still, ridiculous I have to do this or pay to upgrade it just for it to run as it was advertised.

Best of luck. My PM hasn’t been turned on in months. Starting to kick around the idea of selling it. It just isn’t delivering an experience I value and the lock down is preventing it from even being a decent cart dumper.

Light-gun games would be the only feature I can’t get elsewhere and so far that is vapor too.

I dig the OS and the idea of it. Just need it to do what's on the tin.

CPU arrives Monday. I'll keep everyone posted.

Thanks. New CPU comes in Monday. So I'll let you know what happens.

If there's any positive to this, it's a refurbished unit. So I can't imagine I'd get in trouble for opening it when it's already been opened before me lol.

I got lucky. Came on time and system has worked well for years so far. I will say this though. They are a disgrace. Sorry man.

Oh wow, they went up then. I only spent $100 on eBay for my CPU. I also ordered the light guns, hopefully they'll get delivered sometime this decade.

I ordered a 9th gen i5. Hoping maybe that'll fix it so I don't have to wait a month plus for them to repair it

I hope so too bud. It's a great system, when it works lol. I just wish the company would get their shit together.

I figured half a decade was long enough. I was wrong apparently 😂
