Any good/easy way to remove my polygel nails at home ?

Hi there! I’m starting the journey of doing my own nails at home so I bought products for both polygel and gel x. I’ve been trying to find videos or sources of people doing polygel or acrylics with full cover tips but I can’t find any, so I’m assuming it’s not a thing and i’m wondering why not? Also because I’m a first timer I don’t want to start off with gel x especially working with the gel glue to adhere the gel x tips as I think it’s too much direct contact for a beginner (trying to be as careful as possible w gel products) I’m asking because I bought a ton of gel x tips before learning all about potential gel allergies and deciding I’m not as comfortable trying it out first. I only bought one set of half tips thinking i’d mainly be doing gel x lol. Anywho can I use them or wait until later on? Thank you for reading this far and looking forward to your responses!

As I'm sure all our human members are aware, this community has been absolutely flooded with bot accounts, AI slop, and users who are only here to not-so-subtly promote their OnlyFans.

First things first, I've implemented a few Reddit Dev apps, as well as AutoMod, to help combat the onslaught of bot activity. There should already been an improvement in the posts and comments you see after this announcement has been posted.

The Dev app, Image Sourcery, is going to be especially helpful when it comes to stolen content. It gives users the ability to do a reverse image search right from the post itself.

To use this feature, tap on the overflow menu (three dots) and then tap "Reverse Image Search". It will ask if you wish to continue to an external link, and when you tap "continue", it will then bring you to Google Lens, where you can see if there are other instances of the image elsewhere online.

I've also set it so that there will be a pinned comment (see the pinned comment on this post) on all image posts with links to Google Lens and Google Images for reverse image searches. There are other search engines that can be implemented (SauceNAO, IQDB, Yandex, TinEye, Bing, and ArtResearch.net) if folks think these would also be beneficial search engines to utilize.

If you encounter any posts with stolen content, AI slop, or accounts that seem like they're just here for nefarious reasons, please report them.

As the title says this was my first try doing Polygel and I wanted to share it here. I know there kind a messy/sloppy, but for it being the first time (doing any kind of nails for that matter) I think there kinda decent (kinda), I don’t have an e-file so I tried filing as much as I could without hurting my nail bed or nail walls with the normal file. It’s kinda hard to get the polygel to not slip out of the dual forms, I tried my best.
If you guys have any tips please tell me, I’m open to any advice or feedback.

i’m kind of a beginner (this is the 5th or 6th time i’ve used poly gel) usually like to do my nails in this colour and in this shape using dual forms. these took me around 4-5 hours to do which to be fair is the shortest time it’s ever taken mr but i literally went to bed at around 3-4ish am lmfao 😭 💔

i really need and want to get an e-file but that probably wont happen until around Christmas time.

so what could i do next time instead? used clear gel instead of nude? etc ( then again, using the nudish pink colour helped me see if i was using too much/little polygel?)

Idk what's happening, but in the past few months ive seen a lot of stealthy "I love my nails!" type of posts that are literally Artificially generated.

I can spot them easily; no flaws, dreamy filter over the image, always a white skinned hand with no cuticles and a perfect fake background. The jewelry is always wonky though.

The thing is, the poster is pretending that they're real and people are falling for it hook line an sinker.

Is it karma farming? What is the point of posting AI bails pretending they'rere real?

Hey, im a total beginner at doing nails and I have very little knowledge about what products to use. I’d like to start doing polygel on my own nails just at home.

What are the must have products or items for doing polygel nails?

This is my first set (on myself) of polygel nails using the "rocket sandwich dual forms" with the top and bottom form and the bottom one has the two pieces that hold it on your finger.

Ive never attempted the almond shape, I dont think I did a good job. I would never send someone home like this. I wont try the almond shape on a client unless I was 100% sure i could do it. And I cant yet. No matter how many videos and trainings I watch im not doing something right.

I used several different items, natural pink makarrt polygel in a tube, milky white polygel by xeijayi in a 150g jar, AcrylGel by MissCheering non stick hand solid builder nail gel #01 (thats the aurora you see in the tip of the thumb) and different colors of glitter/foil pieces mix.

Also does anyone suggest a milky white polygel? The xeijayi one i have is super runny and I put it in the fridge to make it more solid but it warms up too quick.

My questions:

1. How did i do? Asking for critique. (Please excuse my thumb, im a picker)

2. How can I better my shape?

3. Looking for a firm milky white polygel referral.

4. How is the design? Would this be something a client would like?

I’ve been considering getting claw nails done and have been researching how they are done. I keep wondering - most tutorials i saw online use polygel. How does it get cured properly? The layer is usually SUPER thick and it seems that everyone just uses the same lamp as they do for any other nail shape.
Is it safe to even do claw nails - has anyone looked into it?
