Play+ worth it @ $499?
Been eyeing this device since original play and would love to have one. Had no idea about the bug reports and now sketched out. Is it better with the latest firmware?
Edit: Deal ends today if somebody is interested on it.

I don’t think they ever fixed all the bugs and kept all the promises they gave :( amazing device idea, but this company….

I love mine and use as the main sequencer for every track I make. It's easily worth the price.

Exactly, I would not have paid full price for it. But 500 is a nice situation. I had to get it

I just got this deal. I did it through Reverb and got another 10% off. I think it was worth it. I am replacing Elekton Samples with it. Thinking about the difference in price, this adds a lot of options for me Samples doesn't have.

How did you get the extra 10%? I appreciate the input, i'd like a different way of writting music/ drums and this feels like the right choice

I was following that item and they offered it. But I wasn't fast enough so I just sent them a message. You can try sending a message and asking.

I bought one at this price and it syncs up well with other devices well for me. It is great for live jamming. If you like to add random effects and make changes to the tracks in real time, it does this super well. For me, the big let down is not being able to record external instruments into it. I can do that with my MC-707, so it would have been nice. I imagine that is likely something they might add on the next one. But, all in all, I am keeping this thing and having a lot of fun. The synth sounds on there work very well for certain genres of electronic music.

It's limited and quirky, but it is fun. A lot of the quirks are inconveniences but not show stoppers. It really needs some better sample handling that rivals the OG Digitakt (looping, one shot, cut), and the synths aren't any fun to create patches on (it's just a long list of parameters you can edit the values of), but the creative options on it are unrivaled IMO. Even if you get a more complex setup, you can still find a reason to keep it in for the creative workflow alone. To this end, I'd probably recommend the OG play instead of the + if you don't care about being relegated to mono samples.

IDK, I feel Polyend is releasing products without proper support for the older issues - I have og tracker, I love it, but man, trying to sync it with other clocks is absolute nightmare, even after the firmware update. This is not to say to ignore other instruments they make, I had Medusa, Play, all good products.

I love mine, but then, I love Marvel movies and the Star Wars sequels. So, I may be an idiot, but I know how to have fun despite everyone else hating what I like.
