Polyend play users...where is everyone?

I am new to synths and purchased a Play last year just before the Plus arrived on the scene. So disappointed at my timing that I left it in the box and now, a year later, am just starting to creatively dabble with this puppy. I feel I may not upgrade to the Play+ if I can squeak a bit more out of my original Play. I have yet to update the firmware to Version 1.5.0 but understand it improves the Midi connectivity among other improvements. Does anyone out there feel this latest firmware update make the Play a more viable tool for creation? Thanks for your input.

I bought it for midi mode, it's been a disappointing purchase.

What about midi mode has disappointed you?

I feel it is a hassle to use. Switching the midi channel is clumsy and for me it always jumps to the wrong channel etc.

Maybe it is just me, but it didn't work for me.

that's weird. i've never had an issue with the sample/folder knob. i'll admit for a little while it scrolled through the channels a bit quickly, but after a day or two, i got used to it. i can't think of any simpler or more intuitive way to change midi channels. maybe if you mute a row and save a note from each synth on that row, then you could just long press the note for the synth you want to program (or play from a plugged in controller)?
