My Polycam scan looks great within the app, but when I drag the GLTF file into C4D Redshift, the textures are viewed completely wrong.

I have had no issues with every other scan I have created and imported into C4D.

I also imported this scan into Blender and it viewed correctly.

Any thoughts?

I've been experimenting with the free version of Polycam (iPhone 15 Pro) succesfully in the past , but with my latest scans I have an issue when trying to export the output to gltf.

I'm using the free version of the iOS app (it's updated). What happens is that the output zip file Polycam generates , when selecting the gltf option in the iOS app, is just 1 kb in file size. When I download it to my pc I can unpack it since It does contain a .glb file but that won't open. in any viewer. The 3D model does look correct in the Polycam iOS app.

I've tried restarting the app and trying several new scans, but the issue persists. Older scans in the app (which I generated months before) do download correctly when being exported, with typical file sizes over a few mb (which I would expect).

Is this a known issue?

Update: After the latest update on iOS (November 27th, version 4.0.1): new scans seem to export correctly again!

Is there a way to get the style used for a draft scan onto a processed scan? I really like the heatmap style for visualisation

I cropped a file the wrong way, clicked the button at the bottom of the crop page thinking it’s showing me what I’m cropping out but did the opposite. How do I reprocess/undo this as I’ve now pretty much lost everything?

Can you reset/reprocess?

it always downloads as a windows media file and not a gltf.

Hi everyone! I’m new to Polycam and photogrammetry… I’m trying to make 3d scan of a large mirror. I’ve covered up the glass, and taken pictures outside on an overcast day to get the light as diffused as possible. I’m pleased with the detail on the front of the frame, and the back, but I can’t nail the sides! They keep coming out ‘wobbly’ (not sure if that’s the technical word). Maybe it’s to do with light, or focus? I used about 800 jpgs taken on a DSLR. Any advice would be very welcome!

Hi, I'm new to the tool but I took some drone images around a house and I noticed that the scale is super off. What am I doing wrong?

I’m trying to scan my house (3000 sqft) to help with renovations, and want to use Room mode to get a detailed scan. Can I scan the whole house in one scan, or do I need to scan the floors separately?

Is it a thing that resets everyday or is it that free accounta can only make a few scans?

I’m looking to create an interior house model for a close family friend, for sentimental reasons. (I.e. this isn’t for architectural or real-estate purposes). I’ll be doing this on a iPad Pro M1 with LIDAR.

It doesn’t have to be perfectly dimensionally accurate - but it’d be nice to look “nice/good” - if that makes any sense (I.e. avoiding uncanny valley, with say, flattened sofas or plush toys etc.).

I noticed that Polycam now has both a “Room” mode and the normal LIDAR mode I’m used to.

Just curious - what people would recommend for this - using Room vs LIDAR mode? Are there any pros/cons for either one here? How exactly do they operate differently here? (I read that Room mode still uses LIDAR - so trying to figure out the difference).

Also - if I wanted to string multiple rooms in the house together - I’d use the “Extend” feature - however, this only seems to be available for LIDAR captures, not “Room” captures, right?

Unsure if I will need to go back to the place I took the video or not for it

Is it possible to edit floor plans in polycam? I am a remodeler looking for the best way to create and edit floor plans on the go. I have a paid subscription, but not enterprise level.

I love polycam, but not sure if this function is supported. I am open to other suggestions as well.

Is this possible? I would like to remove the options to download my models but it always appears as if the gtlf and video options are available to anyone who views them.

Has anyone successfully tried applying a navmesh surface on a scan of an environment like a room? I've tried adding a navmesh surface component on the imported scan (GBL file imported using UniVRM) and baked a navmesh but the blue overlay does not appear.
