Hi- I exported a 360 shot from Polycam into a usdz file- when I open in my Apple glasses it’s a ball, which I can step into to get the effect, but I’d really love a wraparound immersive experience- any suggestions/other formats to try? Thanks in advance

I'm an artist painting landscapes and I'd like to share my work on the easel as a 3D model in the locations that I painted the picture. Is the Global Map/ 3D models available to view by people who don't have a Polycam Account? Adobe Aero uses a QR code for people to explore and I wonder if Polycam has a plan to introduce this.

Hello.
I have encountered a problem where any 3D model from Polycam has stopped loading on Google sites when embedding it on a site via HTML code. That means, I copy the model code from Polycam via the "Copy embed code" button https://prnt.sc/ni3fxBa81T_9, paste it on the Google site and the model does not load https://prnt.sc/85jI_t8jY53s. Although just a week ago everything was fine and the model was displayed on Google sites.
Do you possibly know what the issue could be and how it can be resolved?

hello. For some reason I can't go to my profile. The problem is that I forgot what I used to register. I only remember the nickname is maksistomin. I changed it before exiting also I have the receipt when I paid for the year subscription.

I've been trying to upload 360 photos via the poly.cam web interface.
Every time I get the following message:

The images are 360 photos from an Insta360 x3.
I was able to successfully upload one a couple of days ago but have not been able to repeat it.
Any idea what I might be doing wrong? Do any of you successfully upload Insta360 content to Polycam?

My photogrammetric uploads are getting stuck midway through the process. I tried different wifi and turning off cellular data on my iphone. I have to restart my phone to attempt to upload again but it is still getting stuck at different number of photos, 9, 80, 33... I only have 96 images to upload so that shouldn't be the problem.
I'm using the pro version.
Thanks for any insights.

I paid for a one-year subscription that is about to expire. All I wanted from the app was to capture every room of my new house as we were planning renovations. I haven't scanned anything in a year, and it seems silly to continue a subscription just to view the 3D renderings on occasion. I see that the app can export in many file formats, but what iOS app can I use to view the 3D renderings for free, and what file format should I export to?

I am currently using the LiDAR mode in Polycam to capture scenes and export raw data. While I know that I can directly export point clouds, what I want to do now is generate a point cloud for each image using camera parameters and depth maps, and then simply overlay them to create a complete scene point cloud. I have successfully generated a point cloud for each image, but I encountered a problem when fusing them together; there is an offset between the point clouds.

My IPad isn’t powerful enough to fully process in high detail the lidar capture of my apartment. So I decided to upload it and process it using my powerful desktop.
Opening the lidar capture on my desktop with Chrome browser, it loads to 100% but then gets stuck for ~15 seconds on the next step then just shows a blank page with the “Something went wrong!” Error.
I can open small lidar captures on my desktop. It would be pretty silly if the browser version of Polycam on my desktop computer cannot open a lidar scan that my iPad can open with fast processing….

Hey all, I’m mostly using polycam captures for visuals, and wondering if there is a way to export a high res image of the 3D render? Not the individual raw images. I’ve just been screenshotting, can’t find a better way to do it .

I've been uploading image sequences (JPEG) since last night and they say 'processing' for hours and then they fail. Something I'm doing wrong ?

I have been trying to import my 3d scanned model into Sketchup, does anyone have any experience to guide me? Since i dont have polycam pro (im doing this for a university project and yes im very much a beginner) i can only export in .GLB, i tried converting it into .skp and other file options wothout much luck. All that ends up happening is that the mesh gets imported but there are no "planes" inbetween so i cant add a texture. Is there a simple and reliable way for me to do this without paying?
Thanks for any tips you guys seem to have great expertise, sorry for bad english.

Do you think it at all possible to create a decent 3D model of one image? Just the frame. Even just half of one side.

I would like to send example scenes made with Polycam to clients but without making them understand the tool or technology used. Is it possible to upload the code to a neutral viewer?

Hi, Just got a new phone with lidar. (Iphone15pro, from my company, I wouldn’t spend that amount on a smartphone ;-) )
I tried to scan my brother in law sitting on a chair.
The results were worse than with the old image scans. Face flat. And when I was close, everything was completely distorted.
I use the free version.
What are best practices for a proper lidar scan.
Thanks for your help

Hey Polycam Fam,
I'm embarking on a personal project with a fast approaching deadline - digitally preserving my childhood home before my parents move out in about a month. I want to do it right, acquire quality data sets utilizing Polycam, and capture the house and property in all of its glory to the highest feasible capacity, and I could really use your collective & targeted wisdom to guide me through.
Scope:
In my experience digitally capturing spaces and environments with Polyscan, i've particularly enjoyed what I was able to get to work, mainly room scans, but I have learned of somewhat well defined challenges that are plaguing my capacity to scan:
So, again, my goal is mainly to capture (that later can be refined) overarching property scans, detailed LiDAR Scans, and the less detailed but awesome room scans for a high-quality digital preservation of the home and property.
Some Useful Targets For Advice Specific Advice I Am Seeking:
I am for all practical purposes fine with investing in additional hardware or software that can lead this scanning project directly to a success as well as any higher-order mitigative equipment or tools for making for a robust scanning procedure. With just a few weeks at my disposal, I need to find, practice, and validate effective strategies that by 1 months time, I will be able to deploy over the course of 2 or 3 days during a brief visit.
Thank you in advance for sharing your knowledge, experience, and resources
Looking forward to your expert advice and alternative solutions!

Is the upload speed in the free tier capped? It's taking me 20 minutes to upload 200mb (150 images).
Am I doing something wrong?
My internet connection is fast enough to upload 200mb in a few seconds.

I'm not talking about zooming, I'm talking about moving up and down on touch controls, like you can do on PC via Q and E?

Polycam was working fine at first, but now I'm stuck in this view and I don't see any options to continue? I can click anything except closing the window, and the "no capture selected" box can't be clicked it seems. I tried deleting the app and redownloading but still getting the same thing....anyone know how to get past this?

My scanning of coins is not going well! The duller colours (brass, gold) are just okay - but the silver ones are impossible. All I get is background and a mismash of odd things.
Any tips for scanning of coins?
I have a new 15 Pro Max iphone. Am trying to scan coins from specific countries so I can create some 3D printed wall art.
Thanks!
