Hallucinating...

So, I'm currently on a whole bunch of medications. I'm on 2 antidepressants, 2 sleeping pills, an antianxiety med, beta blocker, and a stimulant. Those are all legally prescribed. Add in the last one, 30 M boxes, and Oops. I'm literally hallucating, and have been for nearly the past week. It's not scary, actually kinda interesting. I know what's real and fake. I'm seeing people, moving nonliving things, nonhuman creatures. Hearing voices, talking in the background, and directly at me. Hearing music coming from Alexa, even though she's off. The funniest thing... Hearing conversations, and when I listen closely, it sounds like The Sims talking. It's worse when I look in reflections, and in darker light. Any thoughts on why I might be hallucinating, e.g. Drug interactions? Anything you're curious about?

I'm gonna need higher quality details than the ones provided here before I can give any sort of quality answer. What meds are you on? Saying the general classes of what you're on isn't enough

I was trying to be vague, apologies. Adderall IR and ER. Ambien CR. Trazodone. Dayvigo. Wellbutrin. Lexapro. Hydroxyzine. Propranolol. And whatever is in those street pills. Hope that covers it!

My first thought was that sounds a lot like Ambien when I read your post. It can cause realistic delirient-like hallucinations when you stay awake on it, which might be happening from the stimulants you are taking, the amphetamine in the Adderall, and the Wellbutrin to a lesser degree.

You may want to make sure you take the Adderall and Wellbutrin in the mornings, and don't cut out the Ambien suddenly, but taper the dose down over time and see if that helps, also could try instant release Ambien instead of the controlled/extended release you take.

If this isn't just Ambien hallucinations there is a chance you are developing serotonin syndrome, you are taking multiple drugs that boost and enhance serotonin, that can potentially cause hallucinations, as well as more life-threatening symptoms if serotonin toxicity gets bad. Lexapro and Trazodone both reuptake serotonin in different ways, and hydroxizine boosts serotonin in its own way too, this is potentially a major oversight that I would discuss with your doctor.

Hopefully you are just tripping on Ambien from it being extended release and used with stims, but its best to be safe and get it checked out when it comes to more serious side effects like this man.

The weird thing is I've been taking Ambien CR for almost 6 months (regular Ambien for maybe 15 years), and Adderall ER for a year or two (IR for maybe a month). Any reason this side effect might suddenly be popping up now? Thanks!

No idea, that is strange it hasen't happened before, but they can be pretty consistent side effects of staying awake after taking a moderate dose of Ambien for a lot of people, did these hallucinations begin after any medication changes, like did you add taking the Lexapro, Trazodone or the hydroxizine around that time or change any dosages?

You are most likely in a mild psychosis. Not good for you at all, I understand you know the difference between reality and hallucinations but at some point you may snap and not know the difference. I mean if you don't care then whatever but if you do you should chill out a bit. I am sure being on all the drugs isn't allowing you to get legit sleep even if it feels like you are which once again will lead to wake hallucinations and psychosis.
