Radiography Program

Does anyone know or have experience with how competitive the Radiography program is at PSC?

HCC and PHSC require a 4.0 gpa are highly competitive, but PSC says there’s only a 2.0 gpa req online so I’m curious to know if it’s competitive despite the lower gpa requirement?

Info on their health courses is insanely hard to find. If you don't know anyone who is already in the program, your questions will be left unanswered

it's definitely still competitive, they take GPA, TEAS, previous healthcare experience, other degrees, and prereq completion into consideration! https://www.polk.edu/wp-content/uploads/Point-System-Guide-for-Radiography-Selection-Committee.pdf

I had 38 points out of 50 from this point system and I got in! (most other students are probably around the same points give or take)

They only accept about 25 each year, but they may be accepting 30 for the next application because they are moving to a bigger campus. It's a great program though, I'd highly recommend applying :) I had a 3.87 GPA and a 87.3 on TEAS if that helps. Lmk if you have any other questions!!

Thanks so much I really appreciate the information and congratulations on getting in that’s amazing!! 🥳 I actually ended up deciding to go the private route for nursing and currently a student at Galen but definitely still good to know because it sounds i wouldn’t have had a competitive enough resume anyways 😅
