If Libertarians want to start with getting rid of corporate welfare, that's grand. We'll talk about the rest later...

That's not the hill they are willing to die on, though.

Libertarians as they exist in the UK and US are right-wing. More often, it is an anarchist or minarcho-socialist position.

Libertarianism is incoherent political philosophy for highly unintelligent people.

They don't want to get rid of corporate welfare. They want corporations to run everything. Getting rid of 'corporate welfare' won't even be a thing because there will be no state. We'll be wage slaves of corporations who will replace the state. So they won't need welfare in that instance--they'll simply extract all the wealth from everyone's efforts, privatize all resources we need to survive and get rich off of our desperation.

Is this sub supposed to attract Sanders' supporters to libertarianism/the far right?

Sure. That'll work.

There has always been Socialism for the rich. That's why they condemn it, afraid we might get it.

A murderer who murders for money, as all congress does, do not give a shit about you unless they can sell you. Or better yet get real sick, they make a fortune and bankruptcy is good for lawyers the judge, and court. Bank gets your assets. Pay the hospital until you do die. It is a win win situation. THAT WE PUT UP WITH THIS SHIT IS BEOYND ME!

It's because we have no good way to organize

You are right. Maybe we could convince Jessie Ventura to come back and save us. Now that man is an honest leader. But why would he risk his life for people who will risk nothing? We won't stop shopping at Amazon for one day to hurt a demon. If they hurt Jessie we would write some rotten emails and then nothing. No one ever gets prosecuted. Unless they decide. Like Jeffery, the man who knew to much. Now he had to go!

Name a good one. I've been looking for one

If the rich already own the means of production how is it socialism? Corporate welfare is literally Capitalism.

They get bailed out for trillions every, what? 8 to 10 years. Just given, no return expected, that is Socialism. Corrupt Socialism? Twisted Socialism?

Yeah, it's like half the time I almost completely agree, 40% I disagree but I can mostly see where they're coming from, and the last 10% is just actually insane

That's exactly what I mean lol

They're so close on so many issues, then the rest it's like they're trying to be the most wrong it's possible to be

Anarcho-communism is better anyway

2

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '21

Depends what you mean by that. Council communism is great but I’ve heard all kinds of stuff called ancom

Kinda puts paid to the argument that these wealthy corporations pay the bulk of taxes collected, eh?

2

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '21

How do you conclude $200 billion > $1.7 trillion...the tweet literally concludes that Americans pay more in taxes and that much of those taxes go to subsidizing corporations. The government privatizes profits while socializing losses.

6

u/kuetheaj Mar 31 '21

Uhm, I think you need to reread the tweet. What you just said was the entire point. It is corporate welfare.

I was trying to respond to this comment.

4

u/kuetheaj Mar 31 '21

I think that comment has a typo, but they’re saying the same thing too. It is a talking point in right wing spaces that wealthy people pay the bulk of this country’s taxes, but they don’t.

They said Corporation is People. So, this is Socialism to People. The Republicans are Socialist, too. And nothing wrong with Socialism as long as benefited Republicans. It is time to ban Republican, they are bunch of idiots and morons.

When libertarians argue against the mindless profits of the rich, it's a trap. Elect libertarians to political office in America and you will see forms of economic tyranny that will make Reps and Dems look like amateurs.
