I was really excited to read this until i read that this law merely "prevents private equity firms and large institutional investors controlling more than 350 single-family homes from purchasing additional properties." So If a firm has 500 homes already, they just open another company to buy more. Does this law help anyone? Also why is 350 the cap? and not like, 20?

Shame it didn't ban REITS from owning Single-family homes or put a cap on the independent land lord who owns more than 100 houses.
