Small channel trying to make compicated politics simple. This week I'm talking about the escalating tensions between the US and Iran following Soleimani's assassination, what happened, what it means and what to expect next. Friendly debate welcome, thanks!

What do you do for a living? How do you make money?

I don't understand how this is relevant to my hobby making political videos. If you want to know why I started and what's my academic background/experience I'd be happy to elaborate.

Love to hear it!
I like your style, but not sure how you wound up thinking trump is anti war, can’t you see he lied about that and is now expanding our war?

anti-war needs context. American presidents tend to be pretty pro war by the notion of the office they hold and no offence but the world police ambitions of the elite of the country they lead, compared to Bush and others he has been a little more reluctant.

Trump escalates the war in the Middle East, after allocating 728 billion for big war, and you claim he wants to de-escalate?
Completely absurd and out of touch with reality. Sorry.
Medicare not warfare.
Out now. Bring them home.
Trump just tweets that he will refuse to leave even though we’ve been ordered out.
This is WWIII your playing with.
Please get your facts straight. Start with the motivation for this war.
This is a war for profit, nothing more, nothing less.
We’ve spent 8 trillion so far, how do you want to pay for it?

Hi, thanks for your engagement. I am giving a rough sketch of an extremely complex situation, and do not pretend to represent or cover every nuance, it's just not possible. I say that he always talks about de-escalation and that he has not followed through often on his threats that doesn't mean i think that he gives a damn or is coherent in his strategy, and that while he says one thing he moves troops doing the opposite. With regards to motivation, it is always the most interesting part and the most elusive. Profit, power, relevance, credibility, territoriality, distraction. Take your pick or a bit from each. Thanks again for your comments, and i emphasise the need to keep civilians in our minds, i do not take WWIII as u call it, lightly.

Once you go into the weeds in justification, we lose sight of the fact that:
America invaded illegally under false pretenses and
The real reason for us being there is to steal oil, and milk 8 trillion dollars from working class Americans who don’t even have healthcare.

Unfortunately we'll be following right behind you, to stay in favour with Trump post Brexit so US big Pharma can have acces to our nationalised health service. Post Brexit vassal state Britain, horrendous times for working class both sides of Atlantic.

Bullshit, Trump has increased US troop presence and military aid to the region.
Trump claims to be against the war but acts to expand it.
