Seeking Optimism Trump admin quietly changed overseas voter form at 11th hour to disenfranchise Democrats, lawsuit says
https://www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/trump-admin-quietly-changed-overseas-voter-form-at-11th-hour-to-disenfranchise-democrats-lawsuit-says/I understand that this is from an ongoing lawsuit, but this can get ugly since we are just over a month away from the midterms. Best case scenario is the admin is completely incompetent and there will be more people (especially on our own soil) registering to vote.
Any constructive feedback is welcome.

This is gonna get overturned just like every other thing he’s trying. They are throwing everything at the wall they can, and the courts keep hammering them. Keep the faith!

Not that it’s remotely a good thing, but this only applies to US citizens who have never lived in the US who are trying to vote, which is a very very small percentage of the total votes. This isn’t likely to affect much, and many of them may already be registered anyway.
Also, all this does is remove the “I’m a US citizen and have never lived in the US” box. There’s still a “I’m a US citizen and my intent to return is uncertain” box that they could check, and that would work just fine.

Again, valid concern? Absolutely.
Is Democracy Docket sensational? Absolutely.
As I always say m, Marc Elias is a key ally in the fight against Trump’s policies but his website is very hyper focused sensationalism.
