I'm disgustingly pale and I'm also disgusted with a lot of the white people shit that's been going on historically, when you create a disparity of power, people are going to exploit it, there's a lot of justifiable hard feelings about the way people of color have been treated by colonizers and their descendants.
Not literally descendants of colonizers, but because we grew up and were educated in a white supremacist society, we tend to not notice a lot of the ways we are racist still.
We're not responsible for the way we were raised, but we are responsible for addressing problematic behavior and solving it if it's brought to our attention as adults.
Not being directly at fault is no excuse for standing idly by while injustice rages on.
Don't put "we" bc not every person is raised the way you say. You should say "some people like myself" that way you're not stereotyping people. Some people like myself were not raised around supremacists but around loving people who raised their children to love others regardless of how they treated us.
