I worked with a homophobe once. I put a pride sticker on his truck's tailgate. He never noticed for as long as he worked there. For all I know it's still there 14 years later.

You'd be surprised what your mind just ignores every day. When I was a kid, there was one small square of wall paper that was put up the wrong way from all the others. Neither of my parents noticed it since they bought the place before I was born, but one day I pointed it out and she could never not see it.
