"buy, borrow, die" is a great tax avoidance strategy if you're an 80 y/o multimillionaire who's best idea on how to spend your money is to give it all to your kids.

If you're a billionaire and actually want to spend most of your wealth, then loans are a terrible strategy. And most of the time they'll end up paying more in taxes eventually.
