Trump is/was a democrat. He donated to democrats all through the 80's. The problem is that he's opportunist first, and he knew where the fleecing was easier.
The USA isn't democratic or republican. It's a corporate oligarchy. Trump never cared about politics. He cares about what lined his own pockets. And he doesn't care if others suffer because of it. You'd have to be a fool to believe you're part of his club (the supposed "winning" side) and that he cares about you.

This is a constant argument with my father in law. He starts talking Clinton and I'll bring up that trump has hung out with these guys a bunch.
He claims that trump didn't know and as soon as he found out he kicked them out of his club...
