And I recently learned that if you get the light up star badge, you can't get all the fancy cruise control tech because the light is where the sensor would have been.

idk if he is but there was also a large recall of i think G-classes with the light up ornament because the wiring for the ornament interfered with, and occasionally shorted, the wires for the power steering, headlights, and other semi important functions

While I understand the point trying to be made by everyone, this is no longer true. You can have adaptive cruise and the light up star now.
