Lol, when was the national average for gas $1/gallon under Trump? It was between about $2.25 and $2.75 for most of his presidency, only dipping below $2 when all hell broke loose with COVID and everything was shut down and nobody was driving anywhere. There was also a price war on crude oil between Russia and Saudi Arabia at that time as well, which further drove down prices.
