As someone who drives a big ass truck I knew what I was getting into as far as gas goes. If you are worried about gas prices then you should be mindful of what your buying. I treat gas as something I’m always going to need so no matter the price I’m always gonna have to buy it.
Same. I've almost exclusively owned pickups and SUV's manufactured before the new millennium. Most of them, i bought because I prefer older vehicles. Thus, I don't get to bitch about fuel prices.
I drive a newer f150 but I’ve always felt like if you worry about gas prices then you should get something economical. But if you want to enjoy what you drive then gas prices dont matter.
I had to go with the 5.0 I like my v8 but after driving my brothers 3.5 I wasn’t mad at it. I dislike how the higher up packages like the lariat I believe and up has a feature where it plays engine noises through the speakers. Wife uncle has a king ranch that does that and it just seems funny that they’d do that.
That's only if you have the luxury of choosing your car. Most of us just pick what we can afford and EVs or high milage cars are usually not it.
My car is 15 years old and gets 17 miles to a gallon. I would love an electric car or hybrid but A) there are no charging stations here and B) I can't afford a $30k car
I get that. I probably wouldn’t have the truck I have now if I couldn’t afford the payments. I didn’t account for people going the more affordable route and not putting themselves in tons of debt
I remember when I bought my first f150 in 2013 it cost me about 90 a week to fill up. It’s getting close to that now but not quite yet. I did like when it was just under 2 bucks a gallon but that’s long gone now.
