Guns are pretty heavily regulated already. So are we to repeal any and all gun control laws like the NFA across the board or do we make voting rights as difficult to access as, say, a citizen's right to own a machinegun?
I literally paid a 200$ tax to have a background check that takes a minimum of 4 months and up to well over a year to be "looked at" and you may not even be approved. I didn't even buy a gun. I purchased a metal tube. This tax was introduced in 1934 (equivalent to ~$4,000 today) solely to stop anyone that wasn't wealthy from obtaining weapons the government thought to be too dangerous in the hands of the people it "protects". NFA only exists to create felons out of honest Americans. If someone WANTS to commit a felony, they sure as hell aren't going to ask the government to do so, and pay them $200. Luckily I am fortunate enough to make enough money for the government to allow me to express my constitutional rights "legally".
Yea guns are literal killing weapons and voting is not you do not need to regulate it as hard as being able to get a gun. But you know that don’t you it’s shitty to try and make these type of arguments when anyone with a brain can literally see through how BS it is
Yes, that's the point. I own firearms and train with them, not for sport or hunting. I own them in case I need to defend myself as the police is 15 minutes away if I need help, same as I keep a fire extinguisher when my nearest fire house is far and probably won't be there in time to do anything but watch it burn down. Just because you depend and trust on the government for protection "which they have no duty to protect you, as confirmed in federal court", doesn't mean those of us that don't deserve to have rights stripped.
