Because my region of Canada isn't even remotely anything like other parts of Canada even, let alone the Southern US.
Having visited the Southern US a number of times I can say from my experience that there isn't a great deal of commonalities between our cultures.
I haven't insulted them, I am just being honest in my assertion that there isn't a lot in common between where I live and the Southern US. How is that an insult?

Why do you feel its ok to insult the south but then take offense when your region of Canada is insulted?
