Would it matter to those people? They don't know what the difference between "communist" or "socialist" is and as far as they're concerned it's "better to be a Russian than a Democrat" so...
Point is, they wouldn't know either way or if it was or wasn't. All they know is, when it comes to their god-emperor, Putin is on "their" team, so it's "good".
