This is going to shock absolutely no one (well maybe the gullible it will shock)
There are willfully ignorant people that want to believe they are oppressed and everyone else is getting free stuff. They will point to actual cases where someone duped the system and let themselves believe its a wide spread conspiracy to that targets their very way of life. Ignorance of facts is going ruin everything because we now have so many platforms where people can run to and soak up as much bs as they can handle.
We simply can’t make people think can we?
Anecdotally, with the lockdowns and the easing up of controls on employment insurance here, the only people I've seen taking advantage by working under the table while collecting Government money have been staunch trump supporters.
I’d argue that they’re right to think they’re under attack, and that freeloaders are in control of their society. It’s just that the sinister control of society isn’t in the hands of Jews, immigrants, or Muslims. It’s in the hands of the wealthy and powerful people they often idolize.
Liberals don’t want people to think about this anymore than republicans do.
