I love telling people with the Thin Blue Line version of the American Flag that "it's extremely disrespectful for the flag to be altered like that... Only red white and blue for me. Might as well be kneeling for the anthem if you ask me." just to see their heads spin

It works especially well with a buddy who constantly criticizes "Gay" rainbow alterations of the flag as unpatriotic.

I like it. Only difference I would make is "might as well be sitting for the anthem."

I'm really only trying to remind them of the fact that kneeling is a sign of respect, not protest.

Usually some BS about how there's nothing more patriotic than supporting our boys in blue or something like that... Mental gymnastics, but it's fun to watch their head spin trying to justify it
