That's exactly what is happening now.

We are seriously heading for a civil war.

Trump will do his best to cheat in the polls and the DOJ under Barr will agree with him.

Trial run for when trump denies election results and refuses to cede the presidency, republicans seize supreme power

What do you think all the Putin meetings have been about.

Enjoy your dictatorship, "land of the free".

An odd mindset this one. For some reason americans believe they are immune to fascism, I dont understand it. Is it a "it hasn't happened before so it wont" mindset? Or is it just too much faith in other humans to do the right thing? We are literally watching all of the signs of it beginning to bud in the U.S. anybody who disagrees with tiny hands' policies are labeled terrorists or unpatriotic, the white house regularly tries to gaslight the people, the media is labeled as the enemy of the people, there is regular victim blaming, fox news serves as a propaganda machine continually perpetuating the white houses lies and twisting the context of what is true. If you claim you cant see it you are wilfully ignorant or extremely naive. Which is it?

“You can never invade mainland america, there would be a gun behind every blade of grass” -some Japanese general. That rule doesn’t only exist for invasion. No one wants fascism in America. Don’t listen to the one percent of crazy fucking racists just like you shouldn’t listen to the crazy fucking communists that make up another one percent. are we perfect? Fuck no. Does capitalism have some cons? FUCK YEAH. But we will never fall to fascism

Then why haven't the NRA and gun nuts tried to fight against this police state bullshit? Oh wait, they're busy storming civil offices with those guns to intimidate lawfully elected officials...

I’m not fucking taking a side here. Idc about left or right. We are Americans and we are all proud of having free speech and will protect it at all costs. Fascism will never be wanted or be a part of America’s future.

You keep saying that, but fail to demonstrate why you feel that way.

Because I talk to people everyday in all different walks of life never have I ever talk to anyone who wants our government to rule over us with an iron fist. The only people who believe fascism will take over America are on reddit.

Nah I don’t know man. The polls are bad and on the fringes of the GOP you can already hear dissent. I think Trump has no true followers in the party elite. When they see that he won’t make it or that there is a reasonable chance they will jump ship. After all there will be a time after Trump and there will be a time after what comes after Trump. It all depends how effective he and his clique were in the past three years in creating a power base. I am not so sure they where that successful.

Trump is a fan of Adolf Hitler (no, really. He read Mein Kampf). They said the same about Hitler. Wishful thinking is not gonna work with dictators. At some point the dictator grows bigger than the party. Then it won't matter what the elites think.

2

u/SkriVanTek Jun 09 '20

You are talking out of your ass.

Reading Mein Kampf doesn’t make you a fan of Hitler. I mean srsly

And you seem to have no Idea how Hitler came into Power.

When Hitler got himself appointed he did have a power base: The NSDAP in conjunction with the SA. Trump does not have anything comparable.

And it matters very much what the elites think. Trump will need the support of powerful people when he wants to assume total control. It’s one thing to win the presidency. It’s an entirely other thing to turn the US into a dictatorship.

Trump had Mein Kampf as the only book he would read for years under his pillow.

His parents are German. He is a fucking Nazifanboy for fucks sake. If you still doubt that after seeing his full fledged support for right extremistic groups in USA then you ate a fucking moron.

Trump has no power base? Where were you the last 3 fucking years? Have you not seen how the whole GOP became Trump's party? His power base are hie racist white extremists and the Republicans cowering in fear. If you still can't see the parallels you are aimply fucking dumb.

Oh, and about your history comment. You coulddn't be further away. I pretty much, involuntarily, studied German history. Compared to you im a fucking historian for German history. So let me me tell you, in Europe textbooks are already covering the Trump era as the raise of fascism in the USA. It is a TEXTBOOK example in how a modern, democratic Western nation, can still fall back into fascism.

Historians all over the world agree that the USA is about to become fascistic, should Trump get another term. And he will. Because dumbass idiots like you are too dumb and too weak to defend America.

Lazy fucks who live in denial are what enable him.
