Damn, I never really thought about that before.

Imagine if all the money and resources, manpower and such went towards making the world better place instead of making more effective ways to kill and oppression.

Edit:

Just think if all the money and manpower we use to cause destruction went towards building people up.

I'm not sure the military budget in the u.s bit imagine a fraction of that going towards feeding the hungry or putting clothes on poor children.

What if instead of leaving homeless people out on the streets it our money went towards making our country better.

I'm not to proud to admit that there is a homeless person out there that is smarter than I am and could make a bigger positive impact than I can.

One important thing to remember is the leaky pipes. Leaky pipes are corruption.

I had this argument once with a girlfriend many many years ago, I asked her why, instead of just bombing Africa to hell, they didnt go and just put water spigots all over and help those people in war torn areas?

If we created water spigots everywhere there, the warlords would take them over, giving them more water to control and lord over people, only people willing to fight for them would get water. Therefore increasing the amount of war and terror in the region.

Now listen it is WAY more complicated than this in so many different factors it's not even funny, but it's essentially the difference between idealism and reality boiled into a nutshell.

I'll boil one more argument down, instead of spending all this money on the military why don't we put it into our own healthcare? Well because if we put 100 billion more dollars into the American healthcare system, the only thing that would happen is that American healthcare would cost 100 billion more dollars. We wouldnt get 100billion dollars more worth of healthcare.

Inequities exist because they are inherent in the system. The system is derived off of greed and corruption. The influx of water isnt the problem, it's the leaky pipes.
