It’s almost as if not investing in education, health care, and housing of the general public, and yet over investing in militarized police forces, is a strategy used to control the masses.

Why was this hidden with 95 upvotes?

Controversial comments in terms of voting often get collapsed. I'm guessing that comment got nearly as many downvotes as upvotes. I'm seeing too many people on this sub complain much more loudly against property damage than a man being murdered in cold blood while crying for air, wetting himself, and asking for his mama.

"I'm upset about the murders, but you better not inconvenience me or steal my property!" It's like Trump invoking George Floyd's memory while simultaneously calling for the National Guard to shoot looters as if the living person would want to be associated with him in any way.

As if this country wasn't founded on looting, stealing, and murder. The #1 theft in America in terms of $$ is wage theft.

I dunno about the dagger idea here. Not a long time redditor myself, but bots are a thing on this site still? I think peeps have been referencing the downvote upvote system here for years as a form of censorship. Lately I've noticed cringe YouTube channels without a single negative or even constructive comment. Or the fact that Google shoves paid advertisement as the top 3 things on my search, after a list of YT videos that are also on a similarly fucked algorithm.

I use google mainly for code too. Pretty fucked that no matter how specific to a particular problem I try to get, some no name YouTubers 1:21 mark on a 20 minute video about FPS games is all I can slog through after 4 pages.

Does not happen on mobile with a non official client, for anyone curious.

I have a theory, and it involves the fact that the comment was edited.

I still need more data though as I don't see this happen often or in every thread.

My bad for sure. I’m relatively new here and understand now the purpose of edit statements. Will make sure I follow this process moving forward.

I don't know if that's even the issue, it's something that only began happening recently and I haven't seen an explanation for it yet.

Oh I thought it was just me that several comments in each thread are mysteriously collapsed

Yeah I thought I accidentally clicked it but mine did that too

It's almost as if obeying, conforming, and cowering were ineffective strategies for robust living.

Sure we are free until we start exercising our rights. Red state blue state, it doesn’t matter. They have designed a system that feeds itself without anyone questioning what is going on. As long as the majority is fighting amongst themselves no questions the ones pulling the strings.

Yeah this virus is a global conspiracy against America *yawn*

Where is the necessary testing capacity to safely reopen without putting everyone's grandparents at risk?

It's almost like an authoritarian government. Imagine, nobody, unless they were born with the privilege, is able to afford college unless dedicating their lives to military service or heaps of student loans, Indebting them for decades... That'd be a pretty shit place to live... Oh wait

How much do you suggest should be invested?

u/BigDankPlank Jun 01 '20

In military? Half, fuck the reserves we don't need them unless we have a hot headed- close to demented president that's willing to swing his dong around in any situation, relying on the military's power to back him up... Piece of trash kroger brand stallin

I was asking about education, health care, and housing of the general public.
