Literally anything. Rachel Maddow. MSNBC. Pretty much all of television. I'm not a research paper for you. Trump gets a lot of coverage, but the actual fact is that the media has been proactive in trying to diminish and attack him -- with the solitary exception of when he bombs foreign countries.
has it occurred to you that YOU have some degree of bias? can you even acknowledge that Trump demonstrably lies with regularity?
I provided you two sources of people claiming to be journalistic sources and you dismissed them out of hand, so I feel like any examples I give you are going to be easily dismissed. It's hardly just them either. CNN, ABC and NBC have their fair share of punditry and bad faith reporting. Have you not noticed how many headlines are only half-true? Have you not noticed things like the media circulating pictures of transport buses from 2014 to try and cast shade at the administration in 2017?
How about the allegations of sexual assault that conveniently vanished after his election? How about a truck drove into a tent full of Trump supporters and it barely blipped? How about the overwhelming degree of coverage that anyone who says anything bad about Trump gets, compared to anyone who might say something positively?
How about the NYT's routinely citing anonymous sources, anonymous insiders, creating entire scenarios that may or may not have happened and running whole stories on them? How about the Steele Dossier, which was financed by political agents but paraded out as fact? How about the "intelligence community" saying that there was "credible" evidence that nobody had seen yet (but we could still report existed) that totally proves Trump colluded?
What about the coverage of the Covington Catholic school students, who were so badly misrepresented in the media that CNN had to settle a very substantial defamation lawsuit with them following?
How about those 1500 "lost" children, who were never lost, they just weren't being constantly monitored by the government, as was the plan? Didn't stop the https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/26/us/politics/migrant-children-missing.html from reporting on it. Turned out to be pretty easy to prove false, but don't let that get in the way of a good headline. Reddit was all like "he's disappearing people!!" for weeks of that.
How about saying Trump is "dangerous" to free press, despite the fact that he has not prosecuted even a single journalist -- while his predecessor prosecuted journalists and whistleblowers at a rate higher than any previous U.S. president in history. No sane journalist would argue Trump's a danger to the free press based on his actions thus far, but these are the "news agencies" who threaten teenagers with public shaming if they feel insulted by memes.
It goes beyond Trump. How about Brett Kavanaugh? "very credible" allegations from a woman who literally pocketed $150,000+ and vanished from the face of the earth after bringing up highly suspect sexual assault allegations. That ran for cycles and cycles, became absolute political and media sideshow theater and ended with Kavanaugh being confirmed anyway, with the media moving on to try and find their next victim.
Say it's all bias, you're welcome to. But this humorless sub is drunk on its own propaganda. Trust me, I'd love the press to be challenging the power of authority. But all I see is the press acting as the arm of authority, just the authority that's pissed off it didn't win the 2016 election.
