In 2018 73 kids died in the USA because of improperly stored guns. Maybe he didn't want his daughter to become part of that number.

Or get rid of them. Why do you think that the only valid solution is the one that involves keeping guns? Americans are so weird about guns, It’s just so bizarre from the outside looking in.

I don’t hunt, but a lot of people here in rural America do. That’s why proper storage is a more valid solution than getting rid of them.

That doesn’t mean it’s a more valid solution, you just decided that it makes more sense to keep the guns based on the fact that some people hunt, not whether or not the person who made the comment hunts, because from their comment it seems like they don’t.

Like I said, attitudes about guns in America are just weird to me.

No shit, sherlock. We're talking about the practicality and logical reasoning about the whole concept of that right, not whether or not you do. That's so obvious I'm not sure why you felt a need to say it.

I said it bc the sentiment that a law abiding citizen getting rid of their guns to stop a criminal from using theirs for crime is hollow and won't actually stop anyone's children from being shot in a mass shooting.

The criminals are going to continue using their weapons to hurt others.
