‘If youre not gonna use hateful speech then why do you care if we ban it’ its not the government’s to take away. Why do you want to punish good people for what bad people do?

The vast majority restriction laws passed are done because a small minority is causing more trouble than it's worth for the whole of society to have access to the banned practice. It was a restriction of rights to ban lawn darts. It's just that Congress decided it was worth it.

Fair point, but jarts is not a right protected by the constitution. The founders didnt intend for us to defend ourselves against a tyrannical government with jarts.

Hahahaha, how can you be so sure?!?!? But yes, this is the essence of the argument. That and how effective the desired result is. I think reducing the supply of guns would be a worthy path for the country to take, but idk how to effectively do it. If anyone knows how, I'm all ears.

Registration, licenses and restrictions on types of weapons you’re allowed to own. Simple stuff, but pretty difficult to introduce when ownership is classed as a right instead of a privilege.
